Death by China

Here's a controversial new documetary from author and filmmaker Peter Navarro called Death by China.  The film explores China's grab for American manufacturing jobs, dumping charges against China, and the environmental threats to Chinese workers from poorly regulated Chinese manufacturers.  Lots to chew on, and a timely release amidst the political conventions.

Is it a Doc? Maybe, Maybe NOT. COD is back!

What if the documentary you thought you were watching was actually a promo for a new video game.... say one with the name Call of Duty?  Well that's the scenario in a new newsy looking promo for the high tech video game (Call of Duty Black Ops 2) and it stars Reagan administration fall guy Oliver North.  Funny how some members of history can have nine lives and live on and on.

Convict Poker: Last Man Standing Rodeo

Here's a wild story about an event that chills the bones: the Angola Prison Rodeo.  The convicts don't practice, they just walk out and perform the unusual rodeo events cold turkey.  Directed by Jeff Smith, the doc focuses on the hard edged prisoners who play this dangerous game.

Frequent Fliers: Confessions of the Point Obsessed

Here's an interesting video about a small group of people obsessed with accruing frequent flier points.  My opinion is that it goes WAY beyond obsession, these people are addicts.  The long haired fellow running the meeting, Tom Kraetleur, used to be a regular guest of mine one of my CNN shows talking about discount flying.  He's still at it.
