Charles Stuart, writer/producer/director, has over twenty-five years experience in television production, news gathering and filmmaking all of it at the network level. He is a recipient of five national EMMYS, two Duponts, three regional EMMYS and various other national awards for excellence.

He has provided more than fifty hours of programming to all major networks His work includes more than a dozen documentaries including eight Frontlines for PBS, many co-productions with ABC, Home Box Office, The Discovery Channel, A&E, TLC, Lifetime, AMC, CNN, MSNBC, National Geographic and ESPN. He has also produced for 60 Minutes on CBS.

Stuart has extensive experience in both short and long form programming, from evening news broadcasts to magazine formats to hour long documentaries. He is experienced in locating and working with production personnel all over the world including writing, producing and directing four films shot in Kenya, Egypt, Bangladesh and Zambia.

Stuart previously worked as a Senior Producer at ABC News in New York where he worked closely with Peter Jennings. He was a producer/director at WGBH in Boston for an evening news broadcast as well as producing and directing documentaries.

Stuart currently has a film on PBS about Justice Louis Brandeis and his years as a social reformer. He has received a grant from the MacArthur Foundation to produce a film in the Middle East about Ex-Extremists which is being shot in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Gaza.
